Welcome to the First Church of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
Who We Are
United in love, guided by the teachings of Jesus, and established in 1651, The First Church of West Bridgewater fosters a welcoming, inclusive house for the worship of God.
We study the Bible, teaching in spirit and truth, while building a sustaining, caring community of faith.
We are affiliated with the United Church of Christ (UCC) and the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA).
We invite you to celebrate our congregation’s 375th anniversary in April 2026.
Religious Freedom
The First Church of West Bridgewater respects everyone's personal religious beliefs and does not impose any creed or doctrinal test. All are welcome through our doors.
Community
Our congregation hosts a variety of inclusive events, in addition to Sunday service, including bible studies, yoga, meals, nuptials, baptisms, a summertime Farmers’ Market series, and an annual autumnal New England Village Fair to foster fellowship and cultivate community connection.
